Managing Our Funds

Friends of Agassiz (FOA) funds are managed by its Board of Directors.  The Board's Treasurer is the principal accounting and financial officer for the organization and is responsible for the maintenance of adequate financial records.  The Treasurer reports monthly to the Board on all receipts and expenses. 

 

With the exception of small expenses needed to carry out our activities, all funds raised by Friends of Agassiz shall be provided to the school.  Money that Friends of Agassiz collected for a specific purpose--that was publicized to donors in advance--shall be used for that specific purpose, and money collected without a specific purpose shall be unresctricted.  All money shall be spent at the discretion of the principal and the Local School Council.  Consistent with the way the school spends money through its internal accounts, expenditures under $1,000 shall be made at the principal's discretion, and expenditures $1,000 and over shall be approved by the Local School Council.
